愛がわたしの罪で、憎しみがおまえの大事な美徳
わたしの罪への憎しみは罪深い恋ゆえ
ああ、わたしの立場をおまえの立場と較べるだけで
責めるには値しないと分かるだろうに。

そうであってもおまえの口からは聞きたくない
その唇は深紅の装いを汚しては
わたしの唇同様いくたびも愛の偽証文に刻印し
他人のベッドの間代を奪ってきた。

わたしがおまえを愛すのを許されてもいいはずだ
わたしの眼がおまえに迫るように、おまえの眼が口説く相手を愛すなら
おまえの心に憐みの心を植え付けてくれ、それが育てば
おまえの憐みも人が憐れむのに値するようになる。

　　おまえが拒むものを得ようと求めても
　　拒まれるのは自業自得というもの。
